Laptop beeps at startup

My inspiron 5558 sometimes beeps upon startup. It still boots normally except that at the very beginning, the DELL logo doesn't appear, instead I get a windows booting icon.  The beeps at first were 4-5 at a time, but today I counted a 6-7 beep code.  The beeping stops after restarting.  My technician has told me that the hardware is intanct, the diagnostics were succesful too. He suggests that the beeping is signaling a bad battery (the battery is indeed bad, it's at 27% health) Could I get  a second opinion? I've been reading about the beep codes but none mentions anything about a battery issue (other than the CMOS battery).

The six beep code means a GPU failure; 7 is a bad CPU or bad mainboard.

Since these are all coming intermittently, reset the system as described, and if they continue - prepare for the need to replace the system board.
