Update didn't work and now laptop not working
Hi, my Inspiron 3585 completed an automatic update and restarted and then said there was an error and it wont work. I went on the advanced options and tried to restore but it got to finalising file restore and then got stuck. I tried to switch it on again and tried various options of restore but nothing works. Whenever i enter my bitlocker key which i know is correct it says unlocking but it gets stuck on that page. Can anyone help. Sharon

Boot into the Dell diagnostics -- press F12 a few times after the power button, but before Windows begins to load. Run a full system diagnostic (and then run the extended diagnostic on the hard drive or SSD).

Hi, thanks for your help. It ran all tests and passed ok but still have the same problem.

The Dell Update for Windows 10 not working issue can occur due to a glitch in the app. You can fix the problem by repairing the installation. If the issue persists, clean install Dell Update application using Revo Uninstaller.
