Max size for data store InsightIQ
Does anybody know the Max size of Datastore Isilon can hold ?
http://www.emc.com/collateral/technical-documentation/insightiq-user-guide-3-1.pdf says

, it is recommended that you increase the size of the InsightIQ datastore and reserve 3 GB per node per month that you want to retain data for.
--> this means Max size is 3GB ? or can be set more than that ...

My volumes are already 750GB in size and I have 2 instances. One has 573GB used and the other 445GB used.
With the current release of IIQ, it will attempt to control the utilization and write until the volume is close to full and then automatically clean up old data. It mostly works but I've seen cases where it will report the datastore out of space and stop collecting data for a cluster until it's restarted.

thanks heaps for the reply. So you did set 750G for datastore initially,right? As long as that node or vol for datastore has space, you may able to set size whatever you like ....wow

I think I started in the several hundred GB range and have grown the file system several times since.
