Temporary folders " Isilon_Support"

Hi!

We'd like to know if it's exits any issue with delete files from isilon_Support folder.
Currently we have some folders under that folder.

pwd
/ifs/data/Isilon_Support/tmp

ls -l
total 102
drwxrwx--- 9 root wheel 325 Mar 9 2018 7quVwhhtwX2dEKe2
drwxrwx--- 10 root wheel 459 Apr 24 2018 LYZjE9WpDIKaCePy
drwxrwx--- 9 root wheel 325 Jul 18 2018 jmLMC8GTsRmpjtMZ

Some files under these folders busy almost 4 TB . For instance ifsvar_modules.tar (inside local folder).

I dont' undestand. Maybe that support need that in the past and now it not make sense to have but I'm not completly sure for erase information just in case needed for team support.

Does it safe completly delete these temporal folders?

Many thanks.
Best regards.

Hi @InfraMED,

Yes you can remove those sub-directories in the /ifs/data/Isilon_Support/tmp directory.

The data is placed in there when the 'isi_gather_info' utility is executed (typically support will ask for that to investigate an issue).  The data in there is automatically deleted when that utility completes but if you cancel it while running you might end up with stale data in that directory.
