isilon snaps and R/W option
Is it possible to set a snapshot as R/W? I am running OneFS 7.0.2.5.
Customer wants to do application testing without affecting production copy but there are no cli command options to set the access behavior from R/O nor any options in the webui for this. Setting the Share permissions has no effect on R/W capability (tried Full Control, and Root).
I think because OneFS is a single filesystem, we aren't really mounting the snapshot, thus there aren't any mount options to set to R/W but perhaps I am missing something.

... there's no R/W for snapshot directories, but you can create writable clones of plain files:
cp -c orig clone
(run on Isilon CLI, not on NFS client).

Thanks Peter for confirming that there is no RW on snaps.
I don't think the 'cp' will work in this case as the source folder path is between 2-4TB with a ton of tiny files.
