Resolution Steps
The Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management Application requires Administrator level permissions in order to launch. You can either log into the system using an Administrator account or alternatively right click on the executable file or icon and select Run as Administrator (However you will still need an administrator password for this.).
Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management (HSA) App version 17.2 and newer will auto-elevate the application by including an allowElevation capability to remove the need for you to right click Run as Administrator.
Note: The
allowElevation capability will only work with Windows builds starting from RS5. This feature is only supported by Microsoft starting from the RS5 build.
