5559 Webcam Microphone not working

I recently purchased a 5559 from Dell with Windows 10 pro installed as standard. Its running perfectly except that I can't get the microphone to work under any circumstances. The webcam works fine via skype but no sound is picked up.

Under recording devices I only 2 items, 1 is Microphone, Realtek High Definition Audio, the other Stereo Mix. Microphone is enabled and I've checked boosts etc.

Realtek Driver version is 6.0.1.7737

Playback is perfect.
