Bluetooth hardware Studio XPS 1340

Hello,

1.) i `ve got Dell Studio XPS 1340. Unfortunally i didn`t ordered a bluetooth module in it and now i want to add it. Can you advise what model it must be. I`ve found Bluetooth 360 2.0 + EDR and bluetooth 370 2.1+EDR. Which one to choose?

I also want to find out what service tag has my laptop. I have number SIL012065, but it is not correct. Is it possible to get it from laptop`s sofware or any other way?

Best regards

I also have a Studio XPS 1340, ordered a 370 card off of e-bay for 19.95 shipped and it worked perfectly. The little antenna wire is a little hard to attach to the card.

The proper service tag # is in the bios under the "Security tab"

Given that the WiFi card is already installed, which slot did you install it in?  WWAN or UWB?

There are 3 seperate slots for your WiFi, Bluetooth, and WWAN cards.

The field "Service Tag" is clear in BIOS...

Maybe from any hardware inside?

I`ve also installed in UWB. Works perfecly. WWAN is for 3G modem internet.

WHERE IS IT POSSIBLE TO FIND a Service Tag number?

I can not find it on the back panel. Maybe any other place or from any configuration data file?

The only 2 places I know of are in the BIOS and on the bottom of the laptop itself..........
