Can't load printer software on Inspiron 15 5423

I began to install the printer (Epson portable wireless or USB) on my new laptop but it asked to connect the printer. I couldn't then so hit cancel Today I tried to install but going to File Explorer My PC showed only the C drive. I ejected the cd and tried again with no luck. I listed the cd contents but no install or exe file was found. How do I properly install the printer if the laptop isn't reading the install disc? It just won't list the drive but yesterday I installed mouse software plus part of the printer software.
