D420 Turns Off When I Move It
I have a Dell Latitude D420 notebook PC. When I'm using the laptop on the couch and move the laptop a few inches, the computer completely shuts down. I wonder if there's an issue with the connection between the battery and the PC itself. Any ideas here?

If that's the issue, then it shouldn't happen when the system is plugged in - have you checked that?

It would suggest that yes - that, or the connections need to be cleaned or straightened.

I don't typically use it when it is plugged in. If I plug it in & try to move it and it doesn't turn off, doesn't that mean it's a battery issue or an issue with the battery connector/connection inside?
