DELL, Ispiration 15, 3000 Series
My girl friend bought a new Inspiration as described above on the subject line. She is asking me how to turn on the backlit keyboard. So I'm asking here. Is it even possible? I should think that all modern laptop computers should have this feature. Does any one know?

If you don't see the keyboard backlight turn on when the system is first powered on, the keyboard is not backlit. No, not all notebooks have backlit keyboards - it is true that many mid-range and most high-end notebooks do -- but that's not what this model is. The 3000 series is a budget model entry-level system - thought some of the models do offer a backlit option, the basic models do not.
