Dell 1747 JBL sound
I had to wipe the laptop and reinstall Windows 7. The problem I have is when I use the volume controls on the keybord they don't show up the display. What did I miss on the dirvers for the sound so it will show on the display/ Please let me know.
Thanks,

Hi Traveler70,
You can install the drivers on your computer from the link:
Link to download the Quickset application is: http://dell.to/14CsSjc
You may also refer to link: http://dell.to/12Y290G to know the installation of drivers in correct order.
Please reply for further clarifications.

It's not the audio driver. You need to install the Dell Quickset application that Chinmay S linked to in his reply to you.

I have the correct Sound Driver installed on the Laptop. But when I press the sound volume up of down it doesn't show on the laptop display Like it use to. How do I get the controls to show up on the display like they use to?

I use to have an icon show on the display when I raised or lowered the volume or turned it off. I don't get the icons any more.

that was the fix I didn't see the link to the quick set. Thanks for your help.

Yes, the answer could have been more specific about the need to install Quickset.
