Dell Inspiron 3542 audio quality..

Very disappointed with the Dell 3542 win8.1  audio output..  Even at 100% output it is just audible.

A Dell Latitude  laptop 7 years older to the 3542 gives good audio output.  

I have tried some of the tricks listed in the forums.

a) updating the driver  to the latest version

b) switching between realtek driver and the windows native driver

c) going to control panel --> sound -->speaker-->properties->enable loudness euqalization.

None of these help..

Any other suggestions please ?
