Dell Inspiron N5110 not booting

hi!

i went into dell startup options [F12] and ran diags.

it thows up following error :

Error code :  2000-0145

Validation : 45371

Msg: Hard-drive 0 -S/N 5VEKQY27 ,self test did not complete.

[ In Bios HD is detected correctly].

What am i supposed to do now?

You need to replace the hard drive - which, while an inexpensive component to replace, isn't easy to access on this model.  You may want to view the video below before deciding to replace it yourself -- or have a shop do the job for you.

You'll need a new 2.5" 7- or 9.5 mm SATA notebook hard drive (or hybrid or solid state drive).

okay; i replaced the hard-drive. Now how do i reinstall windows7? I dont see dell included the install CD when i brought i laptop. can i download it ?

If you did not prepare a set of boot media, you will need to contact Dell to purchase one now.

okay. I did find some installation disc and tried to boot and install through it.

it copied all the files and then when it was about to strat install....."blue screen" appears...whihc says it is  truing off my computer to not to damage my system,,,,,e.t.c.

I ran the dell-diags[F12] again, and it's all clean.....now what could be the issue?

Can't help without the details - is this a Dell OEM Windows 7 disc?

I fugured that out. SATA controller issue. when i flipped the controller type in bios it worked.

However now i am facing issue w WIFI connections : it says "WIFI is disabled by hardware switch"

i press Fn + F2 ; F2 key has an Antenna symbol . Still it doesnt work. what is the problem? [This is Dell Inspiron N5110 model]

You would want to create a separate thread for your current problem.

PS. You have to install all the drivers from support.dell.com after a fresh OS installation.
