Hi kushal,

Here are few things that will help in resolving the issue.

Check if the Webcam is detected in the Device Manager:

Steps to navigate to device manager:

  1. Click “start”.
  2. Type “Device Manager” in the search box.
  3. Select “Device Manager “in the list.
  4. Click the Imaging Devices.

If the webcam is detected in Device Manager under Imaging Devices, I would suggest downloading the webcam central from the link: http://bit.ly/i8RkJO

Click the link and follow the onscreen instructions to download the Webcam Central Software.

If issue persists, the camera needs to be tested using the Dell Diagnostics.

  1. Switch on the computer, tap F12 at dell logo to enter “One-time boot menu”.
  2. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight “Diagnostics” and press enter.
  3. Run the Integraded_Webcam_1.3M test listed under USB section of the Custom Test.
  4. Please post the results, I would tell you next course of action.

Please use the following link to request the OS and drivers Disks: http://dell.to/11KJ54i

The above link is for the US region. Please let me know if there is any difficulty in requesting the disk.

Awaiting your response.
