Dell Rugged 14 Parts Info
Hi,
I just received a Dell rugged 14 (5404, P46G001). It does not come with a DVD/Optical Drive but I like to add one. Calling the support didn't quite help to get the part numbers It seems I need the following:
- Optical Drive Bezel
- Optical Drive/Tray load DVD
- Optical Drive Connector (according to the owner's reference manual). I looked inside my laptop and there is no such connector.
Please help to provide part number/order info and how to order them.

Call Dell Spare Parts 1-800-357-3355 and ask for price and availability of the Dell part number. Or simply search the web for the part number. I am not sure if you need the brackets. If the parts are not available, you will need to search on eBay or use an external USB DVD drive.
