Dell XPS 13 9360 - random reboots

I purchased a XPS 13 9360 on 27/11/2017 from Dell UK and received the delivery a day later on 28/11/2017. Since then, the laptop has randomly restarted several times, taking me to the recovery screen with the message 'it looks like Windows didn't load correctly'. At first, I thought it would go away when I updated to BIOS 2.3.1 and latest drivers, but it didn't. Then I opted to reset Windows 10, but today I suffered the issue again.

Does anybody know how to fix this? I have lost important work due to the random reboots.

I too recently purchased (27 Nov) XPS 9360 in UK and have had two or three crashes a day since the second day. Been driving me mad. Yesterday I installed both the new BIOS (2.4.2) and Killer Driver V1.5.1608_x64. All has been fine since. Hopefully sorted.

Currently speaking to a Dell technician. He personally recommends downgrading to BIOS 2.1.0 as that is the fix that seems to be working for everyone. He says that he is aware of the problem that lots of people are having in their Dell XPS 13s, and said that BIOS 2.1.0 is the fix. He just helped me install 2.1.0 on my own Dell XPS 13, so the timer starts...let's see if this thing shuts down. If after 3 weeks, there is not a single shut down, then it is confirmed: BIOS 2.1.0 is the fix.

Did you have any further reboots since your downgrade?

Anyone knows how to downgrade a 9360? Tried via Windows&DOS on bootable USB stick but system wont accept due to unsupported downgrade (all required options in bios enabled).

Good to know that Dell has finally released an update to deal with the issue. I ended up returning my XPS laptop for a refund 10 days ago, but thank you all so much for the help and support.

Edit - apparently the latest BIOS has not resolved the issue after all?

Well, glad i ended up returning it then. Fantastic laptop, but wish Dell would really get their quality control up to par. That said, I have nothing but good things to say about Dell during the return and refund process. If the XPS coming out in 2018 has good qc I will no doubt give it a second look.

I can also confirm bios 2.4.2 has fixed the reboot issues. Running for about a week now and no random reboots here.
