Dell XPS 13 Upgrade Graphics Card

I own a Dell XPS 13 Laptop with the Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and the graphics card is Intel HD Graphics 5500. I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade to a graphics card better for gaming. If it is possible, which graphics card do you recommend? If it isn't possible, how else can I improve my laptop's gaming performance? Thanks

There is no separate graphics card, nor any way to install one.

About the only upgrade you can do to the system that will boost performance for gaming and overall is if the system still has a conventional hard drive -- in that case, replace it with a solid state drive.  That will boost the system appreciably.

If it's truly video performance holding back your gaming, though - the only solution is a replacement system.

There are companies that make external kits that host desktop video cards. Razor announced theirs at CES this week (see below). It uses USB-C (Thunderbolt) connection. So, in theory, Dell could release an accessory that does this. But I'm not expecting them to do that. I believe the ones currently available are proprietary to the maker's notebooks.
