Dell XPS FHD Screen flickering

Hi,

I've got the XPS 13 Developer Edition running ubuntu. And starting yesterday, my left third of the screen has started to on full brightness all the time. Even f I try to dim the screen, the left third is on full power. Also when it goes into a more dimmed setting, the computer makes a hizzing noise. Like electric current jumping between poles.

If boot into the hardware control partition, the computer validates, and the screen looks good, but i guess its at full brightness in that process.

Any suggestions, the computer is just 2 weeks old?
