Ethernet port not working

I have a Inspiron 17R N7110 and all of a sudden my Ethernet port has stopped working. When I got to Device Manager I see the wireless adapter, put I don't see the one for the Ethernet port. I restarted and hit f2 to make sure it was enabled, and it is. I was wondering if anyone knew another way to get it to work, or is it just broken. Also if it is fried, can I replace it easy or should I look into getting one of those USB to Ethernet adapters.
