Hi rescue7,

May I know if you have tried reinstalling the card reader drivers? Please follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Press Windows key and “X” key together to access “Power User Menu”
  2. Click “Device Manager”
  3. Expand “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”
  4. Right-click the card reader drivers listed and click “Uninstall”
  5. Ensure to check the box for “Delete the driver software for this device” and click “Ok”
  6. Restart the computer
  7. Use the following link to download the card reader drivers: http://dell.to/10PS5ab
  8. Install the drivers and restart the computer

Do let me know the results.

Hi rescue7,

May I know if any changes were made before this issue started? Please open Device Manager and uninstall all the “USB Root Hubs” listed under “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”. Do NOT check the box for “Delete the driver software for this device” and click “Ok”. Restart the computer after all the “USB Root Hubs”.

Refer the following link to download and install the chipset drivers: http://dell.to/16xREPz Restart the computer after the installation and try installing the card reader drivers using the link I mentioned in my previous post.

Do let me know the results.
