Inspiron 14R replace HDD with Factory Image
I have an Inspiron 14R (5421) that is about 14 months old and the HDD is dead. I ran the DST Scan and it returned a 2000-0151 error which basically means it needs to be replaced. I have my data backed up but I don't have a disc to restore the factory image.
My warranty just expired about 2 months ago and I am curious about my options. 14 months is pretty short HDD life. Does Dell provide any way to download the factory image that can be burned to disc so I can run it after I install a new drive?
Thanks for your help

The factory install has a utility that you could have (should have) used to prepare a set of recovery media. The image cannot be downloaded. You can purchase a set of recovery media now (it's free of charge only during the warranty) by contacting Dell. The current images are sent on a flash drive for about $40.

Thank you for your help. I do have a dvd copy of the recovery, but I am in the process of moving and its in storage in another state. Its too bad this isn't included in the Dell Digital Delivery.

how do you run the factory install utility?
I need to reinstall the win7 on my PC, but I do not have a win7 media and the drivers from 2010 when I bought this laptop.
