Hello. Dell only supports win10 on that model. You could download the Win7 driver directly from the Realtek site.

1.Go to the Realtek downloads selection page. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/
2. On the page click on "High Definition Audio Codecs".
3. Check "I accept" and then "next".
4. (optional) In the column named "Description" find the file named README and download it. That has the instructions for installing or updating.
5. In the column named "Description" select your operating system and whether it is 32bits or 64bits from the top 2 choices in the list.
6. In the column named "Download" click on one of the server names to download the driver.

Note that the headphone jack does not work properly with these new Dell laptops if you don't see an on-screen dialog when you plug in the headphones, and select headphones in the dialog. Phones might work if boot up the system with phones already plugged in.

FIRST: I'm a bit concerned of advice in Dell forums to insecure (not https) link to download unsigned drivers that run with elevated permissions. Strange that Dell provided drivers not fixed by now. This simply puts a lot of users at risk of MITM attacks. (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man-in-the-middle_attack)

SECOND: Issue with Headphones not working is present in Windows 10 (my sons machine) that's how I ended here.

I'm not sure how you would get a Win7 driver if you only download from https sites. Dell's drivers are just http... If you want to try to find a driver on a third party site that is https, the latest Realtek version for Win7 is R2.82. But I really think that if you want to need to Win7 you should return that machine and get a model that supports 7 with the correct drivers.  Even if you do get the R2.82 driver the headphones might still not work because you have to have the waves software that comes with the Dell-supplied Realtek (see below).

SECOND: Issue with Headphones not working is present in Windows 10 (my sons machine) that's how I ended here.

On the modern Dell laptops with Realtek audio, when you plug anything into the headset (combo) jack you should get a popup dialog asking you to select the type of device plugged in. The headphones will work after you go through that process. The popup is a function of the Realtek/Waves driver. If you disable or remove Waves you lose the popup. If that is the cause of the problem you can download and install a fresh copy of the Realtek audio driver and Waves will be installed with it.

If that doesn't fix it then try contacting tech support.

i have the same problem and im not getting any popup, however the audio starts to play in my headphones and not on the laptop speakers, and i can play with the equalizer in maxxaudio but i dont have options to select specific audio preset for the device i connect to the laptop; a feature which used to work with the old realtek driver version with which the laptop was lauched. it used to work then but after the updates theres no option to select audio presets for audio devices connected to the jack and ofcourse no popup. this problem is being faced by every inspiron gaming 7567 user. some people have the issue of headphones not even being detected/used.
