Inspiron 15z CPU Fan Problems

About two weeks ago the fan suddenly became very loud. I can't pinpoint the moment when it happened but now it is running VERY loud and the laptop feels slow. It sounds like it is unbalanced or something similar. It sits on a desk and I use a separate mouse and keyboard. The laptop never moves from that place so I don't know why this is happening. The noise is very very irritating, and I believe it is running hotter than it usually is.

I did a diagnostics:

Error Code: 2000-0511
Validation: 65574
The [CPU] fan did not respond properly

I looked around the forums a bit and saw that I should download the newest BIOS. I did that. 02 to 05 (or something like that from what I saw when it was changing) I was hoping this would fix it. It did not.

I redid the diagnostics and I got the same error.

What can I do from here on?
Thanks

Replace the fan.

Call Dell with the exact error - they'll replace the fan -- either by sending you a box to ship the system in (basic warranty) or by sending a technician if you have purchased an onsite warranty upgrade).
DO NOT use the system with a malfunctioning fan!
