Inspiron 1750 Cmos

So after trying numerous ways of booting my computor without the message 'time-of-day clock stopped', nothing works.

After reading into this problem, ive found replacing the cmos battery seems to do the job.

So, after opening the back of my laptop, i cant seem to get to the cmos battery without taking more of it apart and since i have no experience with the insides of a computor i need to get it serviced :(

Question! What type of cmos battery do i need to order? Model is Inspiron 1750.
Any links to the actual battery buying would help!

thanks!

Here <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell> is the manual for your laptop. The battery is a coin cell CR2032 available almost anywhere that sells watch batteries

Replacing the CMOS battery isn't going to fix this problem.  The clock chip itself is what has failed.

The least expensive fix is to have a shop that can do repairs (not just parts-swapping like Geek Squad, Dell, easyTech, etc.) unsolder the old chip and solder on a new one - should run $150 or so with labor and part (vs. twice that or more for the other option - a replacement system board).
