Installed SSD, now no internet drivers/hardware

I have a Dell Studio 1458, in which I just replaced the HDD with a compatible SSD.  After reinstalling Windows 7, I could no longer connect to the internet.  I used the driver disk to install drivers, but it says that all of the chipset and network drivers are installed.

When I troubleshoot, it says that "Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter"

When I look under devices, I get an "!" next to Ethernet controller, network controller, PCI Simple communications controller, and Unknown device.   I've looked everywhere for drivers/solutions.  Any ideas what went wrong here?

Hi mygeneration2010,

There is particular order in which the drivers need to be installed after the operating system is installed. Here is the link for your reference, http://tinyurl.com/8xvx6xy

If you have the resource disk, install the drivers in the correct order or use the below given link to install the drivers for the computer: http://dell.to/Mbe3zg

Click the link, enter the service tag and select the operating system from the dropdown and follow the order in installing the drivers and also select the right network card driver from the list and install it.

If the issue persists I would request you to private message me the service tag , so that I may help you with right drivers for the computer.

To private message click my user name, select Add as friend, and click Start conversation.

Check and reply for further help.

Turns out I'm dumb.  Apparently the "checkmarks" next to driver names on the resource CD do not indicate that they are installed.  Worked immediately when I tried again!

Thanks!
