L2 Cache
My new 8600 has 2mb L2 cache. I thought it was only 1Mb?
Can someone explain??

Your I8600 is equipped w/the new Dothan Pentium M.

My Laptop is only a 1.7Ghz.
However it said it has 2MB L2 Cache - so hmm.
Can I use a program to determine this?

Use Belarc Advisor and see what it says you have. The Dothan P-M's (with 2MB L2 cache) do come in 1.7GHz (735), 1.8GHz (745) and 2.0GHz (755), so its entirely likely....

2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache
Is this a Dothan?
