Latitud D510 AC adapter/charger will not charge. Help Me Please!

Okay, i've treated my latitude like a portable desktop ever since i got it, i always leave the ac adapter in and leave it plugged in, (sidenote:my latitude has a 1 hr battery) so ive always unplugged it when i wanted to go to another room with it & plugged it back in when i got into that room...

and this just happened, it stopped charging. when i plug it in, the light on the charger wont come on.

and this is the only charger for it i have.

did i blow it? will i have to get another?

The laptop is fine.[p.s. I always left the charger connected to the laptop]

Plug the adapter into the wall only.  If the LED never comes on, the adapter is bad.

If the LED does come on, does the system recognize the adapter (F2 at powerup to check)?  Or does it show "unknown"?

It's always BEEN plugged into the wall. and the laptop is dangerously low on power, so i cant do anything.

The charger light DID always come on before this happened.
