Latitude 610 - Keyboard Freeze after startup
Here's the scoop. Latitude 610, XP, etc, etc.
After startup, the windows screen appears - the one with "Hit Ctrl Alt Del" to login. Prior to this, the mouse is active. As SOON as any key is touched, the mouse and keyboard are locked up. Same in safe mode. I took the hard drive out and ran a scan - both for virus and disc errors. No errors detected.
Any suggestions? keyboard drivers or something like that in the startup sequence?

Did you try booting to your XP disk and do a repair or reinstallation?

Yes & No.
Yes - boot to XP disk for repair. Ran check disk, no errors found. Also pulled hard drive out and ran virus & malware scans on that drive from a clean machine.
No - as far as the reinstall. Several programs and database files are currently installed so it at all possible, I would like to keep all the programs in tact.
Other suggestions welcome.
