Latitude 7480 Touch-pad One Finger scrolling breaks constantly

My 7840's touch pad "One Finger Scrolling" functionality has become inconsistent.  It had been working fine by using the 'DellTPad.exe' application and selecting (if memory serves) 'one finger gestures'.  That option is now gone however one finger scrolling still works for awhile, and then fails and the only option to scroll using two fingers. A reboot fixes it for awhile then it starts all over again.  This problem coincided with a recent round of updates, though the touch-pad driver was not one of those updates.

Any ideas out there?

In response to my own post to help any others out there - There is a site which has tons of great information on Dells in general.  Included is a listing of old Touchpad drivers.  I downloaded an old Windows 7 driver which appears to have done the trick - one finger scrolling with no defaulting back to two finger gestures.
