My dell laptop stuidio 1737 is takin so long 2 start up among over things.?

the other day i went to start my laptop up, the laptop wouldnt start up and it now takes about

10 mins to warm up and get to the windows sing in screen. i have tried to insert the back up

disc but my laptop will not let me insert any disc and there is no disc already in the laptop.

has anyone got any ideas on what the problem could be and how to resolve my problems.

( the laptop is only 6 months old and scans with norton 360 show no virusis)

should i just take it back under warranty and let them sort it ??
