Network Adapater Issues After Upgrading E4610 From XP to Win7 Ult (64bit)

Hi,

Upgraded my E6410 from XP to Win7 Ultimate (64bit) but cannot get wireless to work at all!

I have downloaded the driver from Dell Support (thought I may have wiped all my drivers when I completely cleaned teh disc prior to installing Win7 which I am thinking is maybe where all my problems originate from?) using another laptop and USB

BUT when I try to install I get a message along the lines of the version of:

"This file is not compatitble with the version of windows you're running. Check your computers system information to see whether you are an...."

HELP!

Hi D,

Welcome to the Community. If you have followed the steps given by ieee488 in installing the drivers in the correct order, then right click on the wireless driver that you have downloaded and click on properties, click on compatibilty and then check the box to Run this program in Compatiblity mode for and select windows vista, and then try running the file.

Hope this helps.

Thank you
