New hard drive for XPS 15 (L501X)
I need to replace my failing hard drive and did a little research to pick out a new one.
I currently have a Seagate ST9500420AS which has a height of 9.5 mm and I'm thinking about replacing it with a Seagate Laptop SSHD (ST500LM000) with a height of 7 mm. Will it fit in my computer and is it compatible? This is my first time looking for a new hard drive so any advice is welcome.

It should fit. You'll just have a slight gap at the top. The screw holes should fit where they need to in the brackets etc.
