Just seen your other threads...seems you may be having issues with your HDD. Continue with Diagnostics (F12) as suggested by ejn63 and reinstall Audio drivers as suggested by Dell mod.

If it's Windows 8 try SHIFT + F8

If it's Windows 7 then it is F8

Hi

May I know the exact system model that you have and also the operating system installed?

If the battery is a removable component in your laptop and the operating system is Windows XP/Vista/7:

  • Disconnect the battery and the AC Adapter
  • Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to remove the residual power
  • Connect the battery and AC Adapter
  • Switch on the computer and try tapping F8 key for windows “Advanced boot options” to access “Safe mode”

What's the reason for wanting to boot into Safe Mode...maybe we can help you fix the problem?
