Putting a new processor in a Dell Latitude D600.
I've heard that the "box" or hardware in the D600 series is pretty good and worth fixing and updating. I was wondering about updating the processor so I can use the new Windows. Which ones would fit, see if it's not too expensive etc. I've already put in more memory and larger HD. Anyone got any suggestions?

CPU: 400 MHz ONLY Pentium M. Max is the 2.1/400 -- these haven't been produced in years, so you'll need to look at the used market.
RAM max is 2G.
BIOS supports up to a 120G drive -- EIDE only, no SATA. You CAN use a larger one (they're made up to 320G) but you MUST partition it to 120G and install WIndows to the first partition. The rest can be for data but if you install Windows to a partition larger than 120G, you will lose data.
