Round white spot on screen

I have an XPS 13 (L322X, Early 2013) which is still under warranty.

It is showing a round white spot on the screen which is like screen bleed you sometimes get at the edge of screens.

It's not dead pixels and not any damage to the cover of the laptop or the screen physically.

It's there all the time, tried with black, light, and coloured backgrounds and it's visible.

How do I go about getting support?

Does this sound like it needs a new screen?

Thanks

Start by calling Dell support - they will likely want a photo of the screen defect, so have that ready to send to the technician.

Round white (Pressure) spot if its the size of a dime or larger is a pressure spot.  These happen when people do kung fu finger jab directly on the screen.   If its the size of the head of a pin or smaller this could be bad pixels.

Ha ha! :-)

Looks like that to be honest though not that big.

No bangs or knocks to the screen and it's not a touchscreen device.

Glossy glass type screen.

I'll get in touch with Dell tech and take some pics.

Thanks

This can also happen if any pressure is applied to the back of the screen -  from contents of a bag or backpack.  You can see  what Dell says, but they're likely to deem it accidental/cosmetic damage -- which is covered only if you purchased insurance with the system -- it is not covered by any standard warranty.

I've been so careful with this laptop as it look so great.

Anyway, thanks, I'll contact Dell and see what they say.
