Stylus for Inspiron 2 in 1

We'd need the exact model number to tell you for certain, but most of these don't have a true digitizing screen - meaning the active type stylus you'd need to take notes won't work.   If this is an Inspiron 7359, that will be the case.

There ARE systems out there that do have true active digitizers, but the price floor is about $1K -- this is the domain of the Lenovo Yoga Pro, Think Pad Yoga, and Surface Pro 4.  Just about every system under $1K is a touchscreen tablet - not a true digitizing screen notebook.

You can use a passive stylus (the type that usually comes with a soft, squishy tip) but the system has no active digitizer, so an active stylus (for such things as pressure sensitivity) won't work --it's not going to stand in for such a device even with a stylus.

The dynapad has an active digitizer -- the Inspiron doesn't.

The 7779 cannot use the active stylus.  I have one like ejn63 describes with the rubber tip on one end and a brush on the other, which I think is described a capacitive.
