Unable to download orginal operating system
I can sign in to dell but ater selecting Download Factory Software. it does not allow it on dell laptop or non dell desktops. I need to do a factory restore of Vista Business and associated software on my pc. Data on D: drive coupt.!!

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. It looks like the factory image may be corrupt/damaged. Hence you will need to manually reinstall windows on your computer. Use the below link for help in installing windows.

If you do not have the OS disc, the you can use the below link to request for one.

Do you have a Windows Vista OS installer with you? Simply use it to your laptop or desktop if you want to have a factory restore. Just be sure that you have all your driver listed before doing so.
