Video card upgrade help
Hi
Hope someone is able to advise me.
I have been given a Dell XPS M1730 Gaming laptop
Intel T9500 (2.6GHz) , 4 G/B , Geforce 256m/b 8700m GT.
Note: This Model of laptop the video card is a single not Dual GPU.
I initially thought I could upgrade to an Dual sli 9800m GTX , but I have been told in another forum this is not the case.
Bearing this in mind what is the best Video card I can get to fit my Laptop
Cheers

I just want to confirm what your saying.
I can upgrade from a single GPU video card to a Dual GPU sli video card on a Dell XPS m1730.
The card your taking about is about £150 uk pounds

I appreciate what your saying There are suitable card ons E-Bay for upgrading.
I may not be explaining my self.
I have a dell xps m1730 , T9500 MHz, 4 G/B memory, 320 GB HDD
This model I was given is fitted with a single GPU 8700m GT video card non SLi.
I would very much like to upgrade to a Dual Card GPU 9800m GTX Sli. but I am trying to confirm that
all model releases of Dell xps 1730 models are capable of running in with an Dual card SLi.
From research on the net I know following the initial release of the 1730 the option to have Dual
Graphics cards in SLi mode was made available.
I dont want to purchase a 9800m GTX only to find out The model of 1730 laptop I have is incapable.
of using that card and i am out of pocket.
Hope thats clearer.
