Which is the latest version of AMD RADEON HD 7970M drivers?
My m17x r4 came with the gpu mentioned in the title.
I've downloaded the latest drivers from the AMD website and all I get is a flashing screen and nothing else which resulted in me having to restore the system and return to the old drivers.
The driver I'm currently on is
13.101.0.0
Dated 6/4/2013
So i'm just wondering whether this is the latest version that came from Dell? because the one on the AMD website definitely does not work.

I too would like to know this.... the 7970m drivers have been a nightmare for me so far and really regret getting it. The Nvidia cards get regular updates... You buy a gaming laptop and the drivers are so old that new games don't even work as intended.

You talking Windows 7x64? The latest Dell has published is from 7/16/2013:

The drivers from device manufacturers are usually newer than those available from the OEM, but they don't always work for OEM implementations of a device.

I managed to get newer drivers from the manufacturer to work. But boy do you have to jump through hoops to do it. You must do it very carefully to avoid having a mess of driver components conflicting on your computer but it worked.

Updating to drivers that are newer to play game efficiently on a gaming PC should not be this difficult.
