Windows 10 upgrade

Hello

These are my computer specs:

Dell Computer – Inspiron N5050

Intel Core I3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz

Intel HD Graphics 3000 / Board 0x1028 (0x0504)

MainBoard: 01HXXJ A03

Chipset : Sandy Bridge Rev:09

SouthBridge: HM67 Rev: B3

Bios: Ver: A03 Date: 10/14/2011

I had upgrade recently my OS from Windows 7 Ultimate

to Windows 10 Pro. The computer works very good and very fast.

On Windows 7, the Restart button worked perfectly.

After the upgrade, I do not get anything on the monitor after Restart. I can

hear the computer working but no display. I have to turn it off.

After turning it on, the display and the computer are working fine.

Any suggestions ??

Thank you very much !!

Tuvia,

Unfortunately, the Inspiron n5050 is not supported with Windows 10. Dell did not create any Windows 10 drivers for this computer.

Not sure what build/version of Windows 10 you're on, so be sure to apply any and all Windows Updates. May take several cycles to apply them all if you just upgraded.

While you may have some driver issues to work through, from the description of your issue you also might try doing an Internet search (google) for "black screen dell windows 10" and evaluating some of the information in the results to see if one of the workarounds might apply in your case.

Also check for any applicable or useful posts over in the the "Software & Operating System > WIndows 10" support forum

Good luck.
