XPS 13 Unresponsive

My XPS 13 purchased in January last year has become completely unresponsive. The battery won't charge and the laptop simply will not turn on. Is there anything I can try or is this a case of sending back to Dell for them to sort out?

Troubleshooting must take place before service/repair is authorized.  Start by calling Dell support -- they will do some initial troubleshooting and then authorize a depot or onsite repair depending on the warranty you purchased with the system.
