XPS - Turning on webcam makes computer crash

Hello!

I have an XPS M1330 and for the past few months I have been unable to use my webcam as whenever I turn it on, my computer crashes (it goes to a blue screen and then shuts off). This happens whenever I try to use Skype, but also if I just turn on the webcam...

I was told I may have a corrupt file (NTOSKRNL.EXE) and this may be the cause.

This is the only problem with my computer, so I really would like to fix it.

Does anyone have a suggestion?
