add HDD WD Blue WD10EZEX - hard drive - 1 TB - SATA-600 to M3800

M3800 laptop

Is it relatively easy to add a HDD into an M3800 to an existing 250GB SSD and can you remind me how how to make the HDD a slave to the SSD. Lastly is it still best for speed, maintenance and fragmentation to divide a 1TB HDD into 2 or 3 partitions?
