dell inspiron 9300,locked out

i have a dell inspiron,9300,and turned it on and it says protected by password authentication system need password but never set it up eith one but cant bypass this to get on ,what can i do

Hi Handyman55,

When do you get the error message (after Dell logo appears/before Dell logo appears?
It might be the system password. If you get the error message exactly after Dell logo, you may send the system details so that I can assist you further.
