firewire adapter?
I would like to connect my old video camera to my new laptop XPS15. The laptop is equipped with a USB type-C thunderbolt port to which is possible to connect a DELL adapter to ethernet/hdmi etc. Unfortunately a firewire port is not available on this adapter. Does a similar adapter exist for firewire devices? Where I can find it?

Unfortunately, no there isn't -- you're going to need a new camera with a USB connection.

Interesting question. With your new XPS15, could you purchase these 2 products
and then have a bonafide firewire port for your legacy device?
I suspect there are lot of people out there who might be interested to know if the above will work.
