how to disable volume buttons (volume up, volume down, mute) in dell latitude E6520 ?

I would like to know the same for E5430:emotion-7:. Damn volume down button got stuck...

I just turned them off. If you use SharpKeys you go to Add then in the left menu you choose Media: Volume Down, and in the right menu you choose Turn Key Off. Then OK, then Write to Registry and restart. That's all. Technically, Volume Down key is mapped into something that is doing nothing :)

Thanks for sharing that. I don't understand exactly -- you used SharpKeys to remap the volume buttons or did you just turn them off, or something else?
