    I have just done a system repair with a system disk and was doing updates when there was a clicking noise underneath and the screen went as if there was a sync problem on the screen. It looked like an old TV when it goes on the blink and the horizontal sync goes and you get a cross hatch picture.

    I turned off the power and removed the battery. Now when I try to power it up the number lock comes on, the caps lock flashes and the scroll lock comes on. The power on button doesn't come on but the power indicator on the side comes on also but there is no coolant fan working and no other indication of any activity at all.

    I would obliged if you could help with this problem.
