not all drivers are 64 bit?

I have recently reinstalled Win7 64 bit OS on my vostro 3500, using the 64 bit drivers from Dell but I have noticed that a number of them were installed into the Program Files(x86) directory.

Of particular concern were:

Intel(R) Management Engine Components

Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology

Aren't these drivers supposed to be 64 bit ones? Or aren't they available in 64 bit? Cheers.

If it is any help (although it is a different model) on my new Vostro 3750 I have 4 entries under Intel in the x86 folder.

These are Bluetooth, Intel Control Centre, Intel (R) Management Engine and Intel (R) Processor.

Some are applications which are 32 bit. Note not all programs are 64 bit, 32 bit Internet Explorer is available in Windows 7, Microsoft Office 32 bit is often installed on Windows 7 64 bit. However the 64 version requires 64 bit Windows Vista, 7 or 8.

If you press [Ctrl], [Shift] and [Esc] to open up the task manager. You will see that many common applications have a *32 meaning that they are 32 bit.
