"no supported webcam connected" Dell runs away and hides from this problem.

After being escalated to Dell 2nd level support they sent an imaged drive with the original OS installed.  Loaded this and the camera worked properly.

Dell's response:  'Well, it works with the image.  It worked the day you bought it.  It passes the hardware tests so therefore it is not our issue.  We only warranty the hardware.'  Their suggestion is to 'just reload the OS'.   Thanks Dell.

Oddly we are also unable to install ANY WEB CAM.  Tried 2 different external USB cams... both fail to load the drivers producing an error in Device Manager:

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged.  (Code 19)"

Have tried all the options shown in this post and clearly this is an issue.

My Apple never gives me this kind of trouble.  Why did I every buy a Dell?

OS: WIN7 PRO SP1 64bit
SYSTEM: OptiPlex 3030 AIO
